NEET-Specific Rules That Are Different
White Background Is Strictly Mandatory
Unlike some exams that say "white or light background", NTA NEET specifies white background only. Photos with off-white, cream, grey, or any coloured background are strictly rejected. If your background is not pure white, use our Background Remover.
Name Written Below the Photo
For the physical printout of the NEET application, NTA requires your name and date to be written/printed below the photo. However, the digital photo you upload is a standard passport photo without any text — you only write below it on the printed form.
No Caps or Goggles
NTA strictly does not allow any headgear or sunglasses. Prescription glasses with clear lenses are generally permitted.
